fine dining São Paulo | where to eat during São Paulo GP
São Paulo isn’t just Brazil’s financial heart—it’s also the country’s culinary capital. With a dynamic mix of cultures, ingredients, and bold creativity, this city is a gastronomic playground for high-end travelers and food lovers alike.
This guide was curated by Richard Jarocki, based on personal dining experiences across multiple F1 weekends and deep research into the city’s evolving fine dining landscape. From unforgettable omakase counters to Brazilian-Italian tasting menus that rival anything in Europe, these are my personal go-to restaurants when I’m in São Paulo for the Grand Prix.
If I could only recommend one place, it would be Evvai. Chef Luiz Filipe Souza creates a theatrical and emotional 15-course tasting experience (Oriundi Menu) that blends Italian technique with Brazilian soul.
Every course is a piece of art, often tied to a story—and the custom-designed course cards make the entire evening feel like a curated exhibition. It’s the type of restaurant that defines what fine dining should feel like: elegant, immersive, and unforgettable.
Tuju impressed me with its commitment to sustainability and deep use of native Brazilian ingredients. The rooftop garden, the open kitchen, and the way they integrate the natural environment into each course really set it apart.
It’s perfect for diners who want something thought-provoking and grounded in nature.
Maní reinterprets Brazilian comfort food through a refined, contemporary lens. The minimalist space and thoughtful presentation make it ideal for those looking to explore Brazil’s culinary roots in an elegant, understated atmosphere. Perfect for a midday break or early dinner during race weekend.
Helmed by Chef Alex Atala, D.O.M. is one of the most acclaimed restaurants in Brazil. Known for its use of Amazonian ingredients and cultural storytelling, the tasting menu includes native fruits, herbs, and proteins that showcase the biodiversity of Brazil. A destination for serious culinary travelers.
The omakase at Kazuo is one of the best dining experiences I’ve had—not just in São Paulo, but anywhere. Chef Kazuo Harada blends precision, warmth, and creativity in a way that keeps you engaged from start to finish.
I enjoyed every bite of my omakase there, from the expertly prepared seafood to the nuanced progression of flavors—and the dessert was both exceptional and unexpectedly delicious.
This is an ideal pick for those who want a serene, elevated meal that celebrates Japanese technique with Brazilian influence.
Nelita is such a vibe. Chef Tássia Magalhães brings this incredible grace to her dishes, and Danyel Steinle’s wine pairings are spot-on. It feels like one of those places where every little detail is deeply intentional—the kind of restaurant that makes you want to slow down and savor every course.
I truly enjoyed my meal at Nelita—everything from the pastas to the wine pairings felt both personal and refined. It’s a top-tier pick for a romantic night or a more intimate group dinner.
It might seem casual at first glance, but A Casa do Porco delivers some of the most flavorful dishes in São Paulo. I love their commitment to nose-to-tail dining and the variety on the tasting menu.
I truly enjoyed my experience here—the food was fun, inventive, and absolutely delicious. It’s great for adventurous eaters or anyone who wants something bold, fun, and full of Brazilian character.
Kotori is low-key in all the right ways. It's relaxed, design-forward, and laser-focused on doing yakitori and small plates with absolute excellence. I loved the signature bread dessert—essentially a rich, elevated take on French toast—unexpected and totally memorable.
It’s the kind of place you can recommend to both foodies and creatives.
Tan Tan nails the balance between comfort food and cocktail bar cool. While not open late into the night, it's still a great option for an early evening meal after qualifying or pre-dinner cocktails. The karaage is crispy perfection, the ramen hits every time, and the cocktails are as thoughtful as anything you’d find in Tokyo or NYC.
I truly enjoyed every visit—great energy, bold flavors, and a perfect way to wrap up a big day. It’s loud, lively, and always a great time.
While most of São Paulo’s top-tier restaurants are located in neighborhoods like Jardins, Pinheiros, and Vila Madalena, there are still solid options within 15–30 minutes of Autódromo José Carlos Pace (Interlagos Circuit).
